An early visitor at the Ramesseum
Some twenty years ago I noticed that a traveller had left graffito dated 1789 in the Ramesseum. It appears to be genuine, as it looks ancient and in my opinion it is not the work of a modern prankster. Unfortunately until now I have found any biographical or bibliographical information on him. I would therefore be most grateful if someone could provide me with any information about this eighteenth century traveller.
